Blevin Blectum -- nee Bevin Kelley -- one-third of Sagan (with Lesser and video artist Ryan Junell), ex-D84 and formerly 50% of Blectum From Blechdom. BFB appeared in 1998 as one of the Bay Area's most distinctive electronic acts, fusing skewed sp202 jams with abstract, laptop-based layers and a love for cultural phenomena, eventually jumping out of their 4 legged jumpsuit to pursue solo ventures. Blevin's second solo CD, 'Talon Slalom', was released in 2002 on Seattle's Deluxe Records to the merriment of mallards everywhere. Despite Blectum From Blechdom's ironic propensity for cheekiness, preteen icons and horrible snauses, Blevin Blectum's work is anything but cutesy: It's densely difficult, funky as hell, heart-stabbingly lovely and more fun than a fidgety frolic in FAO Schwarz.
