MERMAN PARVIN
Renowned Afghan vocalist Merman Parvin rose to prominence during the golden age of Afghan Music (pre-Russian invasion). Herself a pioneer, Merman's rise to fame was ground breaking for a female vocalist in Afghanistan. A long time RAWA Supporter, Merman's contribution was recorded before she fled Afghanistan. (She has since retired from recording and singing). The original recordings have sadly been lost, this song has been cleaned and mastered to the best of our ability from the best available source material.
